Issue #53: It's been a while. Things in everyoneisfamous land have been in flux these days. I've had less and less time to spend in the dance clubs, DJing or taking photos, and have been focusing more and more on photographing things in the daylight hours. Perhaps you've noticed the complete lack of website updates lately. Change is good, though, and things will continue on with more of a focus on photography, music and the occasional fun event. So there you have it, thanks for all your support in the past and be sure to keep your eyes on us in the future. everyoneisfamous.com Secondly, if you know me well you've probably heard my frustrations with throwing good events in Chicago. It's a tough town and all too often well-deserving touring artists end up playing to empty rooms. When I heard Drop the Lime, a favorite DJ of mine from New York City, told his booking agent to skip Chicago on his last tour, it really bummed me out. Stories of this nature are common for one reason or another we don't need to get into now. That said, I made it a goal of mine to give Drop the Lime a worthwhile show here in Chicago. I've seen him destory rooms in Los Angeles, New York or points in between, but here in town he's only ever played to a few loyal fans. Which brings me to... Just Desserts #11 with Drop the Lime, Ghetto Division & Dark Wave Disco this Thursday at Lincoln Hall. We've teamed up with Willy Joy to hopefully give Drop the Lime his Chicago show he deserves. And that's where you come in! Come dance with us to the sounds of Trouble & Bass founder Drop the Lime from New York City. If you can't afford the cover, enter to win a pair of tickets below. In addition, we're also involved in a killer private event on Tuesday, November 2nd at House of Blues with Andrew WK performing as part of The Most Interesting Show in the World. More on that and everything else below. Thanks for reading, hope to see you Thursday night! |
