Tuesdays Are Famous #23

Here are last week's shots from Tuesdays Are Famous. I didn't take too many photos since I was busy DJing a large portion of the night, but here are the few that I did pull off. You can see, based on the comparison, that I did quite a bit of photoshopping on them. It's generally best to put in some extra work before you actually take the photos to save you time down the line. Had I brought along a backdrop I could've helped myself out quite a bit, for example. You live, you learn.

Tuesdays Are Famous #20

Friend of everyoneisfamous.com Kyle LaMere from IshootRockstars.com stepped in and manned the (colorful!) photo booth this past week along with DJs Mad Dog 20/20, Cheap Champagne and The Mike Perry who played some amazing old jams. I wore a tie.

Next week it's myself and Just.One.Duran on music duty. As always, no cover and free vodka 10-11pm w/ rsvp (or without, ya know, whatever..)!

Tuesdays Are Famous #19

One week ago I did a voyeur photo booth in a photo booth at Tuesdays Are Famous. Execution was not exactly as I'd envisioned but you get the idea... Had a light inside the booth (you can see the stand in a few shots) along with another 2 lights hitting the booth from outside to add some environment fill. Young Josh from Flosstradamus provided the tunes and we all had some fun. Hope to see you there tonight for the Sock Hop! In the meantime...

Tuesdays Are Famous #18

This week at Beauty Bar was very fun! From Buenos Aires, Argentina, ZZK took over the bar and laid down some fantastic beats. I set up a simple photo booth by the front door using one of the new circular benches. Lighting was simple--one light thru an umbrella. Be sure to RSVP for next weeks fun. Young Josh from Flosstradamus will be in the building, there is no cover and complimentary drinks from 10pm-11pm!

Tuesdays Are Famous #17

A bit of a delay on these photos from Tuesdays Are Famous no doubt, but here they are! We had Mister Joshua and Scotty Brandon in the house on tunes and I set up a simple little photo booth with my Panasonic GF1, a key light thru umbrella and a spotlight on the background wall. Throw in some photoshop actions and there you have it...

Tuesdays Are Famous #15

I did a "film noir" photo booth this week at Beauty Bar. Everything was light with 2 lights, one directly behind the subject(s) for edge and another in front with a homemade snoot (pasta box) blocking out a good portion of the light (and also causing random light leaks for fun).

Tuesdays Are Famous #13

I walked into Beauty Bar to discover an actual photo booth in one of the corners. Apparently they are trying to tell me something. Oh well, I clearned out all the crap in the dormant coat room and set up a photo booth in there anyway. I liked the idea of having a mirror as the backdrop, which in theory would reveal all the lighting and behind-the-scenes-type stuff. In the end, the space was kind of small and it was hard to see everything, but I still like the way the shots look!

Tuesdays Are Famous #12

I did a little faux-Soul Album cover photo booth this past Tuesday at Beauty Bar. Everyone had the option to come up with their own musical name and soul backup band name. It was pretty fun and I like the way the shots turned out! (Cover inspiration came from Nicole Willis and the Soul Investigators Keep Reachin' Up, which is a legit album!)

Tuesdays Are Famous #11

Sort of an impromptu photo booth this past week at Beauty Bar. It was lit simply with a large umbrella directly behind camera and a smaller light on the side hitting the glasses on the table. All in all, it was a super fun night!
